The Icehouse is pleased to announce its new partnership with the New Zealand SME Business Network which is effective immediately. The NZ SME Business Network was founded by Tenby Powell with the LinkedIn group growing to over 4,500 members since it launched in 2011. Tenby’s vision for starting the Network was to provide support to SME business owners and give small business owners a voice and opportunity to influence national policies that directly impact them.
At the Icehouse we’re passionate about business growth and recognize the importance of SMEs to New Zealand’s future prosperity. We are excited to have the opportunity to play a new and additional role in supporting SMEs. As part of this partnership we’ll be dedicating resources to manage the day to day of the group and importantly connect members to expertise and valuable content to help them grow. As founder of the Network, Tenby will continue to be very involved. He has also joined the Icehouse Board to uphold its strategic direction and commitment to SMEs.
In line with Tenby’s vision we want to:
- enable scale so that the SME Business Network becomes a powerful voice in the business community
- connect this community with each other as well as industry leaders who can help them move their businesses forward
- facilitate meaningful discussions on important topics and ensure the integrity of those discussions
